Re: Is a New left Back required ?
Selling both our LB in one window would not be ideal.

i have long been an admirer of Patrick van
Aanholt, whilst i also have a high regard for
Racine Coly both are excellent left backs

Bang on. LB is much more of a priority.

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
As said left back is urgent need to cash in on masuaku and cress

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
like many of us,i find our two young fullbacks
as extremely exciting and fills me with hope
and pride.
however there is another right back who is going to be available, and we officially out of our price range, lolita. he is the senegalese right full back Moussa Wague.
he really is a bit special,so check him out

Rossal 9:48 Wed Mar 4
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
If that Neco Williams is available id get him regardless. He is class and might get fed up of being 2nd choice behind TAA.

Could then move Ngakia up to compete with or replace when injured Antonio at RM/RW which is his natural position i believe

Russ of the BML 9:34 Wed Mar 4
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
I don't think so. The way Ngakia is playing he is first choice. When Fredericks comes back they can fight it out. If Fredericks doesn't want to do that then he can fuck off and then we need a RB.

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
hey Hammerama, who is Dipo?

HAMMERAMA 11:54 Tue Mar 3
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Dipo may only be 17 but what a prospect, he has some bulk and he is about 6'5"

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Hugill is a solid Championship journeyman and can be sold to quite a few clubs at that level.
Not seen anything from Ajeti that makes me think he has enough speed of thought or ability for Premier league football. He will be another on the way out if we stay up.
And if we don’t.

Silva I imagine we are assessing after his return from illness. The reports from those who watch the u23’s don’t sound glowing enough to see him staying either.

Stubbo 9:27 Tue Mar 3
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Assuming we stay up, Ajeti and Silva should both be loaned to the Championship.

I think people forget Ajeti has only just turned 23. With his scoring record and senior international appearances it's far too early to write him off given he only cost 8m and clearly knows where the goal is!

Have to say I dont see why you wouldn't have Hugill in the squad as a 3rd choice forward? Would clearly work his nuts off if he got a chance, and has put a few in for QPR this year (and qualifies home grown too). Would like to see him in the squad and play a cup game here and there.

No a left back is needed more urgently.

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Ngakia will be fine in the championship, will probably help bring his all round game on.

Sajmo1 8:29 Tue Mar 3

Buendia as well

dealcanvey 8:27 Tue Mar 3
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Todd Cantwell at Norwich too.

I’m sure some prem clubs will be looking at him in the summer.

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
If Norwich drop and we stay up. Then I’d hope we’d be in for Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis. That would sort both full back positions for years.

I am afraid they will swing back and forth like they do

Young managers - fail - old managers for a bit - fail and fans upset - young manager - fail - old foreign manager - fail - familiar British manager -

Not sure we will see a DofF for a while.

Sajmo1 7:02 Tue Mar 3
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Actually, first thing that we need to do if we stay up is to sign a proper DoF and a few scouts at least. I'm sure some league 1 sides have more then 1 scout.

jack flash 7:01 Tue Mar 3
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
RB no. With young Ngakia looking so good and Ben Johnson back from injury now and Fredericks I think we're fairly well covered
We need at least one LB urgently though, that's by far our weakest position. Nearly all our goals conceded in the last few years have been from that area
Neither Cresswell nor Masuaka are able to defend

FruityBoots. 6:55 Tue Mar 3
Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Ngakia has been quite impressive and not looked out of place so no I think maybe priorities should move elsewhere along the defensive line. I would love us to test Brighton and Bournemouth with bids for Dunk and/or Aké and also Palace for Van Arnholt at left back.

Re: Is a New Right Back required ?
Rossal 6:47 Tue Mar 3

Fair enough.

I just think we need other things more.
